Happy new year everyone! I've got something a little different for you today. Sadly, no HTTYD related stuff, but I will be giving a sort of info dumb on where I am in life at the moment. Aside from that, I do have an art piece that needs explaining (no, I've not joined some sort of Satanic cult, that art piece is basically the sickest final video game boss you could ever meet XP). So, let me dive in.
Hello! I am Usertoothless, and I am a Christian, a HUGE HTTYD fanboy, a Berk's Grapevine "Dragon Master", and all around nerd. This is my personal blog where I post HTTYD opinions, news, fanart, and fan fictions (along with the occasion content from my other fandoms). I hope you will enjoy what you see here. Here's to Hiccup and Toothless and their fantastic friendship which literally changed my life!

Lego Toothless (With Instructions!)
Way back when, I was a HUGE fan of Legos. I actually built a pretty cool model of Toothless around a year after the first film, and I decided I'd share the instructions for it on this blog!
If you'd like to see more pictures of the model, you can visit the my mocpages account by going to this address: http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/306897
Also, here is a link to some instructions. They are... kinda janky, but if you would rather have a BIG file with my screenshots of how to build this, just leave me a comment below. As moderator of the blog, I can get the email address that is linked to your Disqus account. I'll try and send you a zipped file or something... Idk... there are so many pics!
Instructions File
Ok, so once you download that file, you'll need to download "Lego Digital Designer" to open it. This program can be found pretty easily, it's the first thing that comes up if you search for it in Google. Once you download the application, open this file. You'll be able to generate instructions by clicking a button on the top far left with brick and a 1 and 2 beside them. Use your arrow keys to step through the instructions.
Hope you guys enjoy the model. Let me know if anyone manages to build another one.
Special thanks to Stormbringer for inspiration on the head design!

One Punch Dragon
This has to be one of the most random crossovers ever. But, there you have it, my head is random and weird! This is a completed digital painting of one of the doodles I made this weekend. I had a lot of fun fleshing it out, so I hope you like it. I also recorded myself painting this, so I will place the YouTube video down below the "read more"

I've been watching too much anime...
Sooooo... when I'm not working, I've spent a lot of time this year watching... anime. Ha, at first I didn't know if I'd really like it, but I've found several shows that were GREAT. This evening, I had a little too much free time, and the conglomeration of sketches I'm about to post is the result. Each is a spoof/crossover, a mixture of HTTYD and some of the more notable anime that I've actually watched. Who knows, I might digital paint a few of these, but for now I thought I'd share the sketches.

Usertoothless's Top 10 Story Recomendations
Ok! So, I'm hoping to do a somewhat different post this time around. I'm planning on listing 10 stories that I absolutely love, and if you have access to them, I would totally recommend watching/reading/playing through them! Also, if any of you have recommendations, or would like to share your top ten faves, please do so in the comments. Now, onto the list!

AoU Toothless meme
Ok, I know this is random, and short, but I at least wanted to post a little thing here! I don't have much free time in the evenings, but I did make this. A friend of mine noted how the line correlated to HTTYD2 right after we saw Age of Ultron. For those of you who haven't seen the film, this probably won't be quite as funny. For those who have but perhaps don't remember it, it was said by Hawkeye. Um, so this might be ever so slightly spoiler-y, and I'm sorry for that, but it isn't a big one or anything. Haha, anyway, here is the meme.

Random fun thing I picked up!
So, this is me coffee/tea (I actually don't drink coffee) mug that I will be using during my summer trip. I've just now arrived, so I thought I'd send you all a small blog post. This is something I really like because I love it when HTTYD puts itself into other fandoms. This just took Jurassic Park and made it BETTER. Oh, and I'm also super excited for Jurassic World... which is coming out in the same week HTTYD2 came out last year...
HTTYD2 will be better.

This is so stupidly cool!
Ok, so my parents were driving home, and they came up behind this vehicle. Anyone care to click on the image and tell my what that license plate says?
!!!
Seriously, if you are the owner of this vehicle and are reading this post, you are ridiculously cool! Please comment!

Fandom jumping...(Edit: APRIL FOOLS!)
Agh, yeah, it is confession time! I know I wrote an entire post on why I though HTTYD2 should have won the Oscars, but to be honest I was kind of shamming. After buying BH6 on digital HD, I've really had to kind of hide the fact that the movie has stolen my heart. I mean, I still like HTTYD... but BH6 has EVERYTHING HTTYD ever offered and much, much more! So, yes, I am fandom jumping! I am starting up a new blog... so you can all just assume that I won't be running this blog anymore. It is just too much work, and I feel like I have pretty much wrung all the good stuff out of HTTYD1 and HTTYD2. I mean, seriously... I just finished writing a post about a twenty minute short that came out in 2011!! I think it is time for me to move on and get into something fresh. BH6 is just so fantastic, and it pretty much pushes all of my buttons, so why try and like two things at once when one is newer and better? I've got a huge group of announcements on my new blog, so even if you don't agree with me jumping off of the HTTYD wagon, you should look at what I have to say. Who knows, maybe I'll make you all into Baymax fans like me!
Here is the link!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
It seems Big Hero 6 has won the Oscars. It took the Academy Award for best animated feature of 2014. All I have to say is that, though I liked Big Hero 6, I am seriously unhappy with the judge's verdict. Allow me to gif my feelings to you.
Angry
Come at me bro
Bravo critics...
Seriously? The robot movie?
The pig is the critics
Ugh the ridiculousness hurts my head.
I mean, Big Hero 6 was a *good* movie, but it broke ZERO new ground and truly, truly failed to move me anywhere near as much as HTTYD2 did. Its story telling was simpler, its morals were more one dimensional, and its graphics were just not as good. It was a fun movie, but a movie filled with super hero cliches and nothing all that notably fresh. HTTYD2 was shocking, and it was a story that had many elements that we do not often see in animated media. Why Big Hero 6 won the Oscar, I don't know. But it stinks.

Reptiles... terrifying, beautiful, awe inspiring, and absolutely lethal reptiles!
Wait.....
Am I the only one who thinks this is stupid cool?! Man, I watched the tv spot for the Jurassic World movies, and I got so many of good vibes. Giant, scary, dangerous reptiles have always been a favorite of mine... and that is one of the primary reasons for my being and HTTYD fan. In the post below, I want to kinda pull my motives apart. Why is it that I love Toothless and the loving, kind dragons of HTTYD... while at the same time I get excited in the exact same way when I see the terrifying velociraptors or I-Rex of Jurassic World? Maybe I'll be able to figure out by the end of the post!

Ah... I'm silly XD
So... I got something super dorky and awesomely nerdy offline recently, and they just came in! I debated whether or not to tell the HTTYD fandom, but then I figured if anyone would appreciate them, you guys would!

Awesome goofiness
Ok, so I was texting with a friend earlier, and he came up with something a lot like this and gave me the idea to post it. Click the "read more" to see a post that is complete parody silliness (and epicness).

Scientific Article
So, I open my mail late last evening, and it turns out I have something VERY fun inside! This is a little gift Rima Justoffravenpoint, and it is extremely fun and funny! For those of you who don't know, I am working towards a biology degree and then a PhD., so that made this even funnier. It is in the format of a scientific article, but it is mostly excerpts from my blog concerning... well, Toothless's saliva! I should TOTALLY do this as my PhD! It was really funny to read through this. Thanks a ton to Rima for doing it. It is really well formatted and looks hilariously professional. I also love the whole intro bit to it stating which college I am doing the research at (haha, and where it is located)! So, yeah, this would be a dream job. Oh and I must say that I love the little seal of the university up at the top and it's Latin motto (which I believe says something like "Never tickle a sleeping dragon... for he will wake and lick you mercilessly"). Oh, and the whole "John Smith" thing is very clever. Yes, I WILL be doing that research in the near future XD Really looking forward to that opportunity, and I'm thankful for the generous grant.
Anyway, THANKS so much Rima! This was wonderfully fun and really brightened my day!

A day worth remembering...
Hey everybody! Just thought I would note... four years ago on this day, HTTYD was released on DVD and BluRay in the United States. Four years ago I spent all morning sitting in a class room, unable to be patient, just waiting for my school to dismiss so I could rush home and see whether my movie had come in the mail or not. It was awesome, and I was just so happy to finally have my all time favorite film on DVD. I just thought this date was worth remembering... because HTTYD1 really was magical and still is, and the fact that I finally got to own it on Oct 15, 2010 still excites me! I hope all of you have had as great of a four years loving this movie as I have.
Oh, and on another interesting note, on Oct 21 I'll be using iTunes to finally download HTTYD2! WOOT! I have no idea how that day will pan out... so many people want to watch it with me and I kinda want to watch it on my own! Oh well, I'm sure it will be fun (ugh, if homework doesn't get me to bogged down. Perish the thought!).

Ok, my campus is waaaaaaaaay cooler than I thought
I had to make a video for my society, as I may have mentioned on the blog. I posted an image from it a few days ago. If you want to know how the movie was received, click the "read more".

Oh Dear...
Below is an image I did for a funny video that will be played in front of... my entire college. I was asked to photo edit a bunch of guys (including myself) onto super hero bodies (like Ironman, Superman, Batman...). Ahem, yeah, this might be the most horrendously nerdy thing I've ever done... might be. Click the read more... because I'm semi trying to hide it from the world while showing it. Man, that isn't the best strategy, is it?

*Spoilers Follow* Goofy Quote Parody
These are some goofy quote parities I made from other films that felt adequately suitable for the traumatizing events that occurred in HTTYD2. Enjoy :)
Bolt:
Me talking to Drago (or the Alpha): "Hiccup is the most wonderful person ever, and he loves Toothless, and he's awesome, and you're a monster! How DARE you disrupt their relationship with your EVIL? DIE! DIE!"
Mega Mind:
Me trying to prepare a fellow HTTYD fan for what is coming in the sequel: "Imagine the most horrifying, terrible, evil thing you could possibly think of, and multiply it by SIX!"
Doctor Who: Forrest of the Dead:
Toothless speaking to Drago as he stands on his Bewilderbeast at the climax: "Don't play games with me! You just killed someone I liked. THAT IS NOT A SAFE PLACE TO STAND!"
Pacific Rim:
Hiccup decides to give an epic speech directly after Stoick's funeral: "Today... Today. At the edge of our hope, at the end of our time, we have chosen not to believe only in ourselves, but in each other. Today there's not a man or dragon who will stand alone. Today we FACE the MONSTERS that are at our DOOR, and bring the FIGHT to them, TODAY WE ARE CANCELING THE APOCALYPSE!"

Musical Strike Class!
Soooo... I got a bit of free time, and I'd been doing a whole lot of work/good reading recently and I wanted to do something a bit fun. I grabbed a spare sheet of paper and scrawled this out. It is actually quite funny! I wonder how many of you might could catch what song I'm making a parity of. This idea mostly came from the idea of Toothless and Skari falling into a dimension which is musical (so, like Frozen's world or something, where every ten minutes or so the characters burst into song). After finding that idea comical, I just needed a song for them to gurgle out (because of course they wouldn't be singing in English), and the song written on the sheet seemed pretty perfect for them. Anybody want to take a stab at what this song is/where it is from? You'll get Night Fury bonus points if you do :)

Head's up!
The app store has a REALLY decent HTTYD2 app out right now! It's completely free (with some in app purchasing available). The gameplay is fun right now, and it looks like it will get even more exciting when the "battle mode" comes out. You pretty much build Berk, and Hiccup and Toothless go exploring to find new islands and dragons. It also actually has a lot of character dialogue, some stuff that feels very second movie (I've met Valka). So, if you didn't know about this game, I'd give it a try! I must warn you, it's pretty catchy, and you'll be checking your device constantly to ensure that all your dragons are working to collect the resources needed for training and building. This is by far the best HTTYD app to date. Oh, and as you can see from an above image, it can send you push notifications! And who doesn't like to see Hiccup and Toothless messages on their phone?
