My first gif!

Ok, so this week has had two firsts for me. I made my first meme, and now I have made my first gif. Unfortunately, the gif maker I have is very basic, so I don't have anyway to put a signature at the bottom... or add text... or edit color. But the gif making program was free, so I am really thankful for that, and so far it seems very easy to manage. Haha, and of all the moments in the film to gif... the one I chose is simply... um... beautiful. Yeah.

AoU Toothless meme

Ok, I know this is random, and short, but I at least wanted to post a little thing here! I don't have much free time in the evenings, but I did make this. A friend of mine noted how the line correlated to HTTYD2 right after we saw Age of Ultron. For those of you who haven't seen the film, this probably won't be quite as funny. For those who have but perhaps don't remember it, it was said by Hawkeye. Um, so this might be ever so slightly spoiler-y, and I'm sorry for that, but it isn't a big one or anything. Haha, anyway, here is the meme.

I was shocked at how quite a few of the expressions I found in here made almost cry! Good grief that was a beautiful, beautiful scene. 

Photoset: Cloudjumper in Flight

I received a request for a photoset today, so since I had time I decided to get it posted promptly! If you click the "read more" the page should load a little over two dozen screen captures of Cloudjumper in flight. Unfortunately, because flying requires a lot of movement, you will get some shots that are a little blurry. Still, a lot of them are neat, and hopefully while looking at them you'll get to see how fantastically well designed Cloudjumper's anatomy is.

So this is a collection of screen caps that focus on Toothless during the Red Rage scene... not on the humans (though that is an amazingly emotional display... which is why I did not do it).

I've finally gotten HTTYD2 in a format that allows me to take screenshots. I decided just to grab a few nice images off of the Together We Map The World scene. So, life is freakishly busy and stressful now that I'm in finals week, but I've got some gifs to share my feelings with. Here's the range of emotions one travails through in the last week of collage.

Hiccup knows my suffering

I found this deleted scene really funny... because you have no idea how OFTEN my family tells me my hair is too big. When I saw this scene I was in stitches. Who knew that even Hiccup takes flack for his oversized do.

I JUST DIED

OH MY GOODNESS. DreamWorks published a video of Toothless animations, and look what it included!! This is what was supposed to come at some point near the very end of the Toothless Found scene! Click the "read more" to see some excellent gifs of this incredible clip that never made it into the final product. Oh, and special thanks to Rima for getting them for me and showing me this clip! She just made my week!

HTTYD2 Full Group Poster!

So, this is apparently the last HTTYD2 poster. Even though it is mostly stock images we've seen before, I really like it! It shows a lot of the quirky, fun personality of HTTYD! Everything from the scared sheep, to the quietly confident Hiccup, to those goofy terrible terrors photobombing! It's neat to see the whole group together, kinda reminds me of a shot in a college year book or something (maybe that's the whole looming exams thing... oops, I need to get back!). Really fun to see all the different personalities showing out her.

Stoick Poster!

I do believe this is the last of the character posters! It was pretty exciting to see all of them, and personally I think it was a massively mature and interesting way for DreamWorks to advertise the movie. Stoick in this one looks splendid, and his dragon does as well. As usual the details are scrumptious! His dragon (who I believe is called Skullcrusher...) is an interesting species to say the least! It looks a little like a carnivorous triceratops! I like how it's large skull crest/bonnet is actually full of holes. Considering it has to fly, little things like that would help keep it's weight down while not necessarily making it much more vulnerable. It is also nice to see another green eyed dragon! Haha, like son like father! Stoick looks amazing aged. Of course, I'd already come to that conclusion, but this poster just proves it. His beard is better than the first film, his gauntlets look wonderfully over-the-top, and that axe-head has a truly epic Zippleback head design! He's clearly not going to be a character who gets overlooked in the sequel, and that makes me happy... because after seeing the final trailer I really love the dynamic between him and Valka. 

Soooo... We're still getting Hiccstrid?

So, the trailer *really* did not focus on the Hiccstrid element of HTTYD2, and that's fine, but we do see some beautiful hints at a continuation of their relationship. Seriously, I swear, when I fist got into HTTYD I couldn't have cared less about Hiccup and Astrid's relationship. It just wasn't a draw. Now that they are older and that I am older, suddenly I think this has a LOT to offer. I always appreciated what she did for him in the first film (particularly in the scene right after Stoick has rejected him), but now that I get to see them after they've been friends for five years, it's pretty exciting. I particularly love the fact that Astrid is still her mega-tough self, a full blown Viking warrior, but at the same time she's kinda continued to develop her sweeter and more sensitive side. I particularly love the, "Take 'em down, babe!" quote (although it could be "kick" instead of "take", but the latter seems more likely). Anyway, the term of endearment is shouted with massive confidence in Hiccup, and it's a rough and tough sort of statement too! It's just a really fun display of how Astrid works! She's competitive, smart, level headed, and willing to be pretty darn tough, but at the same time she really does have a heart and she's grown to really care for Hiccup. It's going to be awesome to see them together in the second film.

However, given how many other relationships are going to be developing, I am willing to guess that we will only see the MAJOR step in Hiccstrid (i.e. come on, please let them get married in the end!) when the third movie comes around. The heart of the second film seems to be Hiccup's family and their differences (which I will write a post on soon). So... I imagine Astrid and Hiccup's relationship will sort of be an undertone in this film, but that doesn't mean it won't be something special!

I'm actually really looking forward to writing the post I just mentioned a second ago, but this one may have to do for today XD

Clip... Clip... CLIP!!!

WOW! This HTTYD day just became the best one ever! Not only did I massively enjoy re-watching the first film, I get to see a thirty second clip of the second one. AND IT IS THE ONE FROM COMIC CON THAT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL! Ok, I'll calm down. *calms down* 

This clip... it wasn't in HD, so the screenshots I have gotten are not exactly as stunning as they could be. Also, I think the animation may not be quite finished (like in the teaser trailer) and it is reusing older soundtrack pieces. BUT that's the negatives, and the negatives pale in comparison to the positives.

Little did Dagur know...

This is actually a quote from Dagur in the second to last episode of DoB. I actually found that quote incredibly funny because Dagur has NO IDEA how accurately he is describing things! He's trying to be mocking and condescending, but little does he grasp the beauty of what he is describing. So, I decided to take the quote and give it a sequel twist. How's Toothless been feeling? How've the last five years treated him? Hiccupy good, that's for sure! But... that may change very, very soon.

That veggie stuff made me feel bad enough too...

I can't get over these two expressions! Seriously, how great is this dragon even when he's uncomfortable?! The episode Eel Effect gave us a good long look at poor Toothless being extremely sick, but not just sick, panic stricken and very dangerous. Although it made me sad to see him hurting, it did give us some gloriously expressive faces that we don't get to see very often. This kind of nervousness, discomfort, and grossed-out-ness are not things we get to see all the time. I loved this episode, and I can think of a ton of ways to use the images in messages (as a dragon equivalent of an emoticon!). Wow, that "about-to-sneeze" look is great, but he was moving too fast to get an image without motion blur. Anyway, love these.

Adorable Gifset!

Playfight!

HTTYD2 is gonna have a playfight between Hiccup and Toothless, and it looks ADORABLE! Just beautiful to see them teasing each other, though I think Hiccup gets the worse end of it (though I would totally take a licking from Toothless willingly if he ever offered!). I just got some screenshots from it. Some have motion blur, but you get the idea! (Yes, this is a lot of images. Big photo set. Hope you like it as much as I do XD) This scene is just priceless, extremely cute on so many levels, and it is also obviously cut for the trailer, so little bits are missing! I can't imagine how great this is going to be when complete! The way these two interact is so funny! Toothless's snark shows a lot here, and I especially like looking at his expressions as he gets ideas on what he's going to do to Hiccup! Then of course there is licking, and we all know how much I love tongue moments! I love how at that first lick Hiccup's eyes widen like he sorta knows what's coming after he feels the tongue touch his chin! Lovely scene, lovely trailer, and I am sure it will be even better in the movie! Anyone who has gifs of any of this, if you'd like to post them in the comments, I would really appreciate it!
